there’s something so refreshing about a good male jewelry designer & metal smith. Derrick R. Cruz is just that. his line black sheep and prodigal sons has all sorts of lovely pieces with a little bit of dark mixed in. not to mention, i envy his studio space. i love masculine jewelry, and he gives his work that male simplicity, but without giving up beautiful details. his scrimshaw pendants are my favorite, i love that he’s bringing back such a lost craft.
